Which shot group would you pick

I would pick one and do a seating depth test. In my 6br 8 found the hybrids.liked 10 off. With my savage 6br 30gr varget 105 berger hybrid br4 primers lapua brass necked turned and annealer bullets seated with a hydropress and sorted by seating pressure I got this pretty consistently.

Same rifle first powder charge test varget from 29 gr to 30.2 soon after barrel breakin. Now which one would you pick? And i wound up with 30gr varget!

Im on board with Richard here. As I began reading, I was going to suggest 30.0 of Varget but try the BR4 instead. It is what I used when I had a Savage 6BR and I had basically the same results as above. I know that the CCI 450 works well in other cartridge applications but I also know that among 6BR shooters, the BR4 seems to be a sound choice. I think it will "tame" your loads.

Exactly, a bad shot group tell you a lot, a good five shot group, not much.

This is the right thinking, in my view. Asking the question of "which group is best" is the wrong question. The question is: "which is the worst that I can eliminate?"

Find the worst choices with smaller samples until you lose the ability to distinguish a worst group, then go up in sample size. You can find some really bad areas with only three shot groups. Then go up to 5, finally 10 or more as a tiebreaker.

I don't see anything to pick from. You need additional load development. You could have saved half the rounds out of your barrel if you were using 2 shot groups at this stage of development. Pick out 1 bullet and 1 powder at a time to test, don't just jump around hoping to hit on something. If the first 2 shots don't pretty much go through the same hole additional wasted rounds won't tighten the group.

Guys

I am new to reloading and was wondering if you could tell me out of these shot groups which one would you go with.

I am using a Savage F-class 6MM BR with a 30" barrerl.

I am using the following reloading setting

Shot from 100 yards

Redding S dies
Lapua Brass
bushing is .267
.010 into the lines
Berger 105 hybrid bullets

CCI 450 primers with the Varget power
CCI 400 primers with the Norma 203b power
Attached our the groups I shot with 5 Shot each
Thank you in advance for all the help

I start my load development by shooting at 1 inch dots arranged in a straight line on copy paper, 6 on a page at 100 yds. Aim small, miss small.

You'll notice how the point of impact will rise and fall relative to the point of aim, like a sine wave. This tells you where the muzzle was pointed as the bullet exits the barrel. Big changes in poi from one group to another means the barrel is whipping rapidly. You don't want the bullet exiting while it's moving, you want it to exit as it pauses and starts to reverse direction. Your node will be found in the middle of the 3 consecutive charges where the poi is near the same. Then close the groups with seating adjustments.

Calculate the direction and distance of the center of the group from the poi and graph it.

If you don't already own one, buy a borescope such as the Teslong and verify your cleaning methods are sound. A dirty barrel will foul up your tests and give you false indications.

Above all, don't let yourself get goat-roped by changing too many things. Focus on charge weight, then seating depth, primers, and finally neck tension. Don't try to do multiple changes in one session. If you change powders, clean the barrel thoroughly before testing the new powder. Same with bullets.

Also understand the importance of action screw torque on the Savage action.

I hope this helps. Welcome to the hand loading rabbit hole.
