Which reticle for 12-42 BR

Hi there, I'm new to the long range thing. Just bought an HS Precision HTR, and want to put a 12-42 BR on top. Question is, which reticle will suit me best. I plan to shoot of the bench and prone, 100-1000yds. Also, will I need a 20moa base? Thank you!

I shoot with the NPR2DD. It works well with short to long range. I also have one for sale new in the box for $1306.00, the 20moa base I don't have the price on the top of my head but have one in stock. gijoes@mchsi.com

One nice thing about the NP2DD is you can use that bottom dot for the loooooong shots, and don't need the 20 moa base to do it......

The DD reticle is very nice for making the long shot as preacher said. It is small and does not cover up your POA. Bill

The fine dots and crosshairs are ok if your rifle is supported but if you use a sling from the prone position, a thicker reticle may be needed depending on your wobble frequency and quality of your vision.

I like the NP2-DD have it on both the NXS and BR.

20MOA base?:
Depends on what caliber/distance you plan to shoot/and which scope. The NXS has more elevation than the BR. If you really plan on going to 1000 yards then it can't hurt. If only out to say 600 or so, not really needed.
Downside to a 20MOA base might be not having enough down clicks at 100 yards.

Check out the CH3. It has a dot the size, roughly) of the lower dot in the DD. I switched this year from a DD and really like it.
