Which Precision AR Trigger?

Geiselle for precision AR's like my 6.5 Grendel and Service Rifle Match AR, and I use RRA National Match triggers in standard AR-15's like my SBR's.

Geissele does offer a good trigger - the 2 Stage - for $165. That's what I would get if not one of their higher priced offerings. I had a RRA NM trigger for a while, but was not terribly impressed. Some tuning may have improved it but I went ahead and replaced it.

I have both the JP trigger in one lower, and the Jard Adjustable with 1.5 lb springs in two lowers and have to say I really like them both. I only shoot from the bench so I wanted really light, single stage triggers for these. I've never tried any of the other's mentioned but, always read good things about them. If it's for a sometimes hunting rifle on a budget, Jard also makes a non-adjustable trigger too. I've seen it on sale at CDNN for under $100

On an extra lower I have, it has the mil-spec RRA trigger group that I replaced the trigger and hammer springs with the JP yellow units. I've only tried the lower in one shooting session, it went bang as it was supposed to. The lighter springs made for an inexpensive trigger improvement. I only tried commercial, USA made ammo. I've read where the lighter springs can cause failure's to fire. Most of the ones I've read about were with Wolf/Tula steel case type ammo.

Had a Jard on an AR I bought. Very problematic adjusting it. Too many screws and when you made one change, the other two would get thrown totally out of whack. Prone to double fires. I wouldn't GIVE it to you. Totally unsafe. It ended up in the scrap bucket. Got two Geislees and one Timney. Great and good.

Hmm. That's too bad. I've shot both of mine quite a bit, one in two different lowers with no issues whatsoever. One is even in an 80% lower I finished on a CNC.

I tried a Jewell AR trigger. It was way to finicy. It worked fine at first and steadily malfunctioned. Two calls to tech support nothing worked so I removed it and tried this.http://www.junkyardgenius.com/firearms/ar-15/ar08.html It work sweet! I have done 5 triggers like this now and all have worked flawless. I might ad I also use 3.5 trigger springs from JP enterprises. Not bad mouthing Jewel it was a older style trigger. I have heard they have corrected some issues but have als heard there are still some trouble?

The RRA NM is definitely worlds better than stock, but it ain't no Geissele. 8)

I use a Geissele SSA-E for F-class AR, bought it once, cried once, and no tuning required. Drop in fantastic.
Get the adjustable if you like to tinker.

For under $150 I honestly don't think you can beat a RRA Nat. Match trigger . I had all my others ,which ran between 5 to 9 1/2 lbs , tuned to 3 1/2 lb triggers on all of mine . Do it and don't look back .

+1

Love my RRA two stage triggers. HUGE improvement over mil-spec triggers.
