Colt AR trigger recommendations

You might want to determine the diameter of the trigger pins before you make any decisions. Colt made receivers with .154" pins and .169" pins.

I was aware of that, they have a newer trigger with screws that lock it in vs. Pins.
After "feeling" quite a few triggers, I am really happy with it. It is a cassette type trigger so it requires more maintenance if your running a gasser.

Thanks for all the info guys. This is why I love forums. I have some decisions to make. I’m leaning toward the LaRue only because the Gieselle might be a little too nice for this gun and application. I might want to save the money and in a couple years put it toward a Tikka Tac A1 in .223 if he continues to show interest in shooting. He’s a left so I’m a little limited in bolt action rifles in a caliber he can shoot.
