All, I had lost this thread. Thanks to all of you for the previous help. As sometimes happens with plans they get changed. My 1st I went with a 6 GT. I bought all the parts from Impact Precision & put them together my self. Instead of a lightweight it is the heaviest rifle I own. It is a PRS type rifle. Anyway it is by far the most accurate rifle I own. It doesn’t seem to matter what you put in it. It almost drives every bullet through the same hole at 104 yds. It shot so good I built my lightweight a 6 GT also, 23” Bartlein CF barrel. I made a mistake and let someone without a long reputation do my barrel. It was suppose to be SAMMI FB of .120. It was 0.070 and he didn’t even know it. He offered to correct it, but I sent it to a reputable gunsmith who is fixing it for me. It also had very rough th on the tenon and muzzle. They will get smoothed out. It will be a shooter and fun rifle. I had one bullet that would fit the chamber and it shot great. I expect the barrel back this week. All of you have heard of the gunsmith correcting my barrel. I’m leaving names out as it would be uncomfortable for the man helping me. It also had some other problems. I couldn’t get a 1” group until I found an action screw that was to long. Anyway this week I’ll have my barrel back, Manners EH1 w/ adj cheek, Hawkins hunter DBM, TT Diamond, & Impact 737r action. I’ve been migrating to Impact action because I believe in the consistency of thier work with the most available shouldered pre-fits for them. I know if you buy an Impact action & a barrel threaded by Impact you can’t get a better fit.
I‘m still wanted my Dasher. I sold most of my big bores and am having a lot of fun with the small, but efficient cartridges. I kill more paper targets than anything!
