Which die is best for 6 Dasher?

Getting a new 6 Dasher build, will use Alpha brass. Which dies do you guys recommend that worked well for you? I have been using Redding full size bushing for most of my other rifles.

"Best" that's a tough question

I'd suggest a custom die that's made for your chamber
you'll have to send them few pieces of fired brass and wait patiently and since you're looking for "Best" I'd get my own reamer too.
I have never had to wait patiently, Harrell's has always gotten dies to me within 2 weeks or less from the time I dropped the brass in the mail. Great people to deal with.

that's great, just to clarify I had Warner Tool in mind since the OP is looking for the "Best" die when I typed my replay, it takes about 3 months to get your caliber specific inserts and bushings made.

Best in doing what? Harrell’s works as good as any custom I have purchased. Send them 3 cases fired in your chamber 3 times with a full load so that they are fully formed and they will send you a die that works fine in a less than a week along with a bushing that you can use to measure shoulder set back.

That’s about as good as it gets.

so what are you saying is I've wasted my money getting a Warner custom die and waiting three months ?

We are in some of the best of times when it comes to this sort of thing.

For off the shelf dies, the Forster dies are very hard to beat. I have two of their FL resizing dies for dashers and they make STRAIGHT brass!

I have two micron dies for other cartridges and both are really just outstanding.

I own one Harrells die in a Waldog, the others I’ve sold. They are not full on custom. Good, but not custom in my opinion.

For customs, I like Neil Jones dies a LOT! Several outfits have copied Neil’s design and their dies are likely good also… I’ve never tried them.

Edit

I should have included that I just received a custom FL die set from Hornady in 6mm TallDog. No testing yet. On the couple pieces of brass I sized when setting up the die, the runout was tiny. But that sample is stupid small and I’ll test more later.
