6 Dasher Dies

Who's die are you using for the 6 Dasher. When looking at he Sinclair catalog, I only see the Forster Dies. I guess you could have Redding make a set of custom dies? Are there other choices out there?

I have great success with the forster full length and micrometer seater. You can purchase them for around 100 bucks and then send the full length die back to Forster. They will custom hone your die to whatever dimensions you wish for 12.00 plus shipping. Also you can get one from Harrell's now. Good luck.

Redding Bushing die set: about $200 6mmar.com Robert Whitley is where I got mine about six months ago.

I went with a Redding Fl bushing die for $89 plus shipping, total $97.99 Use a Wilson Micro top bullet seater and it seems to be a great combo. I also got my Redding from Robert.

I would highly recommend John Whidden's dies at http://www.whiddengunworks.net/sizerdie.html

The price is good and the quality is great.

I just purchased a set of Wilson Dasher Dies for a new build. They are hard to find but worth it if you favor using the Wilson system for reloading, which I prefer. I found them at Gunstop Reloading Supplies, Inc.

That is a bullet seater die from the chamber reamer, it will not size it.............jim

Sure will, I do it all the time. I have both seater and sizeing dies made from same reamer. The sizer is quite easy on brass , got 20 plus fireings on my brass. Never had a problem.

I'll second WWBROWN, the dies that John Whidden is making are (I think) better than the Redding FL S Bushing dies - and it comes with a nice shoulder bump gauge for your calipers.

I bet its easy on the brass too...because it isn't doing anything!

Purely a guess,as i have no knowledge of what has been done here, but i suspect that if it is working the reamer used is an undersized reamer for making dies and not the same reamer used for chambering...........

Speculation on my part....
