Which cheap scope....

for shooting paper with a .223 AR 15 at mainly 100 yards? I don't want to spend too much on this so the choices are a Vortex PST Gen 2 5-25x50 SFP (used for around $600), Athlon Midas BTR 4.5-27x50 SFP (under $600), or an Athlon Argos 10-40x56 SFP (on sale for $300). So less power with better glass or more power with not that great glass? The Argos seems to have the best target reticle with a .09 MOA floating dot.

I would go with better glass and less power over inferior glass every time. Easy choice for me.

Try SWFA fixed or variable nice clear glass at a reasonable price.

Sightron all the way. Don't even consider any other options. For under 400.00 buy a 4-20x50 STAC. You won't regret the move

Sightron would be my choice also. Even the si is a good scope. I have 4 of them and still amazed in the quality for the price.
