I love my BRMXD drop port!!IF you do like the drop port - I have one here on the shelf
What’s a “funnel” in this meaning? Full disclosure, I don’t know much about anything,my only issue with the drop port was i was building the rifle myself and there were no funnels available.
this may not be an issue for a gunsmith
Some people like to use a funnel that is inletted and bedded into the stock. It is aluminum, typically, and provides a friction free drop area that funnels into a 1/2" hole. What’s a “funnel” in this meaning? Full disclosure, I don’t know much about anything,
Thanks. Makes sense. Mine just has the “hole”. Didn’t even know about the funnel. One of a bajillion (technical term) things I don’t know. Some people like to use a funnel that is inletted and bedded into the stock. It is aluminum, typically, and provides a friction free drop area that funnels into a 1/2" hole.
Since funnels became more scarce, most people just cut a 1/2" hole the length of the cartridge being dropped into the bottom of the stock. Sor for a BR/Dasher it's ~1.650 x .500 This provides full free fall of the case and thus, unimpeded.

The one I have in my BAT stock is either plastic or some other type material, the stock isn't finished so I'll try and upload a picture of it for reference. What’s a “funnel” in this meaning? Full disclosure, I don’t know much about anything,
Why running a drop port in f-class could be problematic? interferes with prone position?Just make sure you try running a drop port from the prone before you commit. Very different than from the bench.
