Which 6mm for 1K?

I currently am shooting a 6 Creedmoor and have decided I want something different (e.g. better in the accuracy dept / less finicky) for shooting out 1K. With all the new brass variants today from Alpha, Lapua, etc., which one would you choose? I'm leaning towards either a 6 Dasher or 6 BRA.

Dasher or BRA is a good choice

Well I have this Problem also, short answer !
I have a 6Br,6 Norma Dasher and 6 GT.
They will all get to 1000 yards.
The 6 GT with 109 HB I believe will get the job done better?

I have shot a couple good 1000 Score on a F/Class Target with my Dasher with 105 HB.
The wind was not all that bad !!! That why my thinking is 6 GT

All the 6's on 30" 1-7.5 Twist Barrels, GT is LH Twist

BR, BRA, Dasher, or GT. Take your pick, all personal preference at the end of the day, since none of them are going to do anything different than the others wont.

I went from a 6 Creed to a BRA for the same reasons, and also barrel life. Haven't stretched the BRA past 500 yards yet as I'm still in the process of fine tuning the 108 ELDMs. But as it is, Im really liking the BRA so far. Was going to build a GT, but found a great deal on the BRA ready to go. When this barrel goes south, I'm 95% sure I'll do another BRA.

For the distance you’re talking I’d much prefer to stay in the creed/XC/x47 class.

I understand wanting something different but what finicky issues are you having? Why would a __________out shoot a___________

I don’t own any creed stuff but I’d rather be going that speed than a br at 1k.

Sometimes it ain't about speed.
In my experience, Finesse can out agg speed. I've had my butt handed to me plenty of times by a BR or BRAI shooter shooting pooch loads.

The GT offers more boiler room, and although I have ZERO experience with one, I suspect a snooter full of a slow burning powder might be just the ticket?????

Edited to add, I am mostly a 600 yard shooter........... I have a total of 4 BR matches at 1000 in the rearview mirror.

Then why did they invent the dasher, bra etc?

have a 6Br and a 6 BRA. The BRA will get me to 1K a bit more reliably, but with no wind, the BR will agg jousts as good. I have friends with Dashers and GTs that we compete for bragging rights. So far we are pretty much even in the win category.
If I were to start from scratch, I would be pick the BRA for ease of tuning, the dasher for consistency, and the gt for the speed that helps in the wind. Take your pick...you won't go wrong with either.

Another option to consider for 1K would be 6.5x47 with 140gr projectiles or .257 Kulzer with 133gr Berger Elite Hunter
The BRA is hard to beat when the conditions are good.

Look at the equipment list at some of the big matches. 284 Win and variations are popular.

I shoot mostly BRX but have a few Dasher barrels too. With factory brass it's hard to go wrong with a Dasher. I have a BRA barrel and while just as accurate I never could get the same speed from it as a Dasher or BRX. I shoot mostly 1K and a little extra speed is nice. I have no experience with the GT but it is interesting and about as large as I'd consider for decent barrel life.

My 107 gr. SMK's go, 2,985 fps, without Breathing Hard ( 24" ) and are very Accurate, on steel at, 1,000 yds,..
Yup the 6 XC, IS, STILL, My choice for, LR ! Might try, the 110 gr. SMK's in the 6 XC, too !
The 6.5 Creed, IS my, second Choice.
.284 and 7 SAUM,.. IF,.. real Windy !
