Which 45/70 die set?

Looking to produce modern loads with modern bullets.

The 45/70 rifles I have are,
- Marlin 1895 LTD V
- Browning 1885 HiWall BPCR

RCBS will do ya just fine. That’s what I have . I use a lot of Redding dies for other cartridges. They make good dies, too.
I load for three different 45/70s. Winchester (Miroku) 1886, Ruger #1 and a Siamese Mauser.

If you are going to go the Hornady FTX route, this will require a bit more thought and discussion.

I can't remember the last time i saw Sierra 300 grain bullets available. Hornady has 300 grain bullets available out in the world right now. Seems Mid-South and Brownells had them in stock last week. Starline brass is hit or miss. Everything else is much like a Unicorn.

I use the Hornady New Dimension Series 2 die set, coupled with the Redding profile crimp die for my 325 FTX loads.
