which 30mm scope rings

I have a 300wm with a 20 moa warne rail and a night force 12-42x56br scope I am going to use for benchrest and long range varminting from 300 to 1000+ yds. I am looking for opinions for rings. I need @ 1.125 height. Been looking at the night force ultralight rings. This is a new scope and I am trying to avoid ring marks and alignment problems. What about lapping the rings? Night force suggests not to lap their ultralight rings.

Burris Sig. Zee Rings (they have the inserts + or - .01 offset or 0 offset )HIGH or XTRA HIGH depending on scope bell clearance needed

I had considered the burris rings but they seem marginal with the single slotted screw clamping them to the rail. Is this an issue at all?

I use them on my 416 Rigby all the way down to rimfire rifles and my friend has them on his 460 WBY and down. NEVER had an issue. With that said I've never been 1 to separate bases and rings once they've been mounted.

Thanks for the info. With 40 moa adjustments on my scope this may be a better option. I don't seperate mine from the base either. Do you use loctite on the threads or just torque them to final spec?

None of the rifles I have Burris Signature Zees on are big bore but one thing I do (that is probably not necessary) is to slide the ring forward so the cross screw contacts the front edge of the slot, then tighten the screw. This way the ring can't go forward under recoil.

I like these rings because the plastic inserts provide extra MOA adjustment and don't mark the tube.

Loctite Red 271 (I think) :-[,I'll have to check for sure what the # is.

I use only Burris Signatrue Zee rings. One of the rifles is a .375-.416 Rem Mag which fires lots of 270 grainers at 2,950 feet per second. So far I have not had any problems. They are the only rings I recomend.

As said in the above posts, Burris Signature rings. Damned if I want any trace of rings marks on my Nightforce scopes ( and there are none) or any of the other's like the Leupold's & Zeiss. The off-set inserts included with the 30mm rings, and optional with the 1", provide much the same advantage for longer distance's as the 20 moa base mounts, at a much lower cost. If you run out of windage and/or elevation, and want to keep your adjustments close to center, the off-set inserts will take care of the problem also. Never use any type of Locktight on the base mount cross-bolt screws or the ring screws ( total of 4 on each 30mm ring), and never had any screws come lose. I do torque all the screws to the proper inch pounds as recommended by Burris.

The Burris Signature rings are as good as it gets, no problem with the single screw holding it to the base that I have ever noticed...
I'm the guy that uses 4 of them on ever rifle I own, with the exception of a bunch of 22 RF's...
