Yes it has a more uniform tip and better bc due to thatI couldn't find them either, so I gave Berger a call and asked about the 105gr VLD Hunting bullets. They said many of the "factory" guys use this as their favorite, so I went ahead and bought 300 of them to try.
I did a "mini" load work up testing charge weights and seating depths a little on each side of my best "regular" 105gr VLD recipe, just to be sure.
Perhaps I was just having a good day, but the results with the Hunting version were slightly better, so I just loaded a batch for an upcoming F-Class match.
The only difference I noticed was that the meplat looked more uniform with the Hunting version, presumably because the thinner copper jacket is easier to form.
I bought some at Boolits .com or what ever Shiraz's place is.
I was just there. Here is a direct link.
