Where Do I Go From Here??????????????

I went to the range yesterday to run a ladder test for a new barrel on my Remington 700 22-250, 1/8 twist. This is the results from nine loads of three shot groups. Bottom left is first group and 32grs H4350 and 80 gr Berger bullets. Groups are numbered from left to right and increase .3grs to 34.4 grs. I don't know where to go from here as all of the groups are pretty good even the first one when you take into account pilot error. There was a 6 to 8 MPH wind.

Any advice will be appreciated.

I used one of the free targets on this forum copied it into Photoshop and moved a few things around. Worked out good for my purpose. I use a very heavy paper and print them from my computer.

Yes it is a Urbanrifleman barrel. It is an excellent barrel but was configured wrong for my purpose. I had the throat lengthen and it's now perfect for my intentions. Very pleased with it. This was no fault of Urban. I ordered the wrong thing. He was and continues to be very helpful to me. In fact, I talked to him on the phone today. Good guy.

Good deal. I put a order in yesterday for mine

I’d be tempted to choose based on positive compensation criteria.

I’d try to tell you more but I rarely have a barrel that shoot so many tight groups so I’d have to look it up myself.

The other thing I would do is reload and shoot them all over again. The groups that shot very well both times would be my winner(s). But not everyone like to tune in such detail.

Even a single flag would take most of the 'weather report' shape out of the majority of those groups, Nick.

My suggestion is to reshoot those groups over a flag (or two) to verify. It will ultimately save you time and components.

most ranges where I shoot have a spot where the wind is strongest and/or most indicative. I set out a single wind flag at that location when I'm doing load development.

My wind flag is on a camera tripod, so I carry it out when I'm hanging my target and retrieve it with my target. If I wanted to be more lazy I'd mount it on a thin pole so that I could just stab it into the ground instead of taking the 30 sec to unfold the tripod each time.

I also love going out on dreary gray days to do load development because there is little wind and no mirage boil. But I still put out the flag.

I bought some secondhand flags for cheap, but even if I had to pay more, they’re quickly paid for by not wasting components, time, and gas money consumed to obtain results contaminated by wind uncertainty.

6 and 9 are the nodes and are about 1 grain apart which is what I would expect.
Those are classic no flag 'weather report' groups. Groups like this are good from the aspect that they show a potentially stable tune.

Flags will show if they are real or not. If they're real, it should be straight forward to take a bullet of horizontal out of both of those. If that doesn't happen...you know they're not 'real' in the sense that they wouldn't repeat.

Wind moves bullets both into and out of the groups. Without flags you may as well just lick your finger and stick it up in the breeze. ;)

Where did you get them targets ? Must be a urban barrel
The target is a modified version of a target I created for this site. It was, apparently, modified with two rows, and white boxes inside the red diamonds. FYI I click up the elevation so the group POI forms in the circle and the diamonds are untouched for aiming. Here is the original:

I looked those up! I like the original and what was posted with the two row revision. Is the grey circle North of the diamond for 200yd zero?

Forum Boss: The gray circle is so the bullet holes form in the circle and the red diamond is unaffected for aiming. Just click up a couple MOA.
