where can I get 6.5 x 55 swedish information

buy a book ?? any decent reloading manual. some of the vintage books, the nra vintage reloading book.
some online manufactures sites powder bullets

If you google that cartridge you will get a myriad of help.Page's and page's come up if you enter 6.5 swede.

Read the cartridge info in your manual or data page carefully as many of them are loaded way down in pressure for the old mausers.
Shooting modern loads in a vintage mauser could be bad and the low pressure mauser loads in a modern rifle will not reflect it's true potential.
I recently began studying the cartridge myself and found the different pressure curve data is dramatic.

THE SWEDES MAKE 30'06 HUNTING RIFLES ON SWEDE RECEIVERS, and only back a couple 1000 down from 30'06..as in over normal 6.5x55 pressure.

Nosler & Berger reloading manuals are almost spot on for reloading data.

H4831 and H4350 are the "Go To" powders for this case with bullets of varying weights.

Use a modified Audette load ladder.......and work up your loads in your rifle.

For bullets and twist-rate info, it is very close to the .260 Rem. Same info for bullets and twist-rate, which does not depend on the cartridge but on the caliber. Folks are having excellent results with 123-142gr bullets in 8" or 8.5" twists in 6.5s. As for powders and loads, the same powders as the 260 but loaded appropriately for the 6x5x55.

Lots 6.5x55 info in discussions in the 'Big Stuff' forum just down from this one.

loads, barrel twist, ballistics, best powder etc 8)

It would be helpful to know what you plan to do with the Swede, and more importantly what kind of rifle we're talking about. The only simple part of your question is twist. Do an 8": you can shoot lighter bullets and still stabilize the good heavy bullets (the Swedes got it right 120 years ago)

In general, the swede does like slow powders, my go to being RL-22, with 4831SC a close second, but then I shoot long barrels.
