Where are all of the Berger Bullets?????

Poor planning is a trait amongst some reloaders....they have not learned to stay a head of the curve. So they sit behind the 8 ball and whine.

Berger has a production schedule, and they will tell you when the next run of a particular bullet will be....they have state no new bullet designs till they get caught up. From what what is known is that Berger is having some trouble with raw materials. They are adding two new machines this summer so that should help.

I have read all of the answers of my question dated in Late April and the shit still hasn't gotten any better. I am getting sick and tired of trying to turn up any stone and finding it empty. Sorry but I have got better things to do with my time than calling 10-15 dealers in the hopes that they have at least one type of bullet which I need. I think it time to give up this sport. See all of those names above this"post rely". Well, they don't have shit and it isn't their fault. Can you tell that I am frustrated? :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ You bet your sweet ass I am!!!!!!!!

To quote "Peter, Paul and Mary: "Where have all the bullets gone, long time passing? Where have all the bullets gone, long time ago? Where have all the bullets gone, gone to hoarders everyone, when will they ever learn, when will they ever learn"? LOL!!! This is for us "old heads" they will know what I am saying!! LOL!!!

I have discovered the joys of target quality airguns. ;D
And once in a while I score a brick of quality .22s from Midway or Grafs.
My biggest problem is trying to find any Varget.

I have stopped going in to the local Cabela's, just get depressed. And I will not buy from profiteers and gougers. Maybe it is time to look into archery, I see a lot of local bowhunters, and the LL Bean walk-on archery course seems to be very busy.

I don't bother with the phone. I let my fingers do the walking on my keyboard and have been able to find Berger bullets after only a couple searches.

I check Power Valley first as they seem to have a regular delivery and their site is up to date for inventory. When I see them in I order plenty. Not just a box or two.

My last purchase was from Widner's and got 1,000 73 gr .224's.

They're out there, you just have to be patient and when you do find some, buy a year's supply. That will help in the future as Dealers determine their stocking levels on the basis of sales. Order a box they replace stock with a box. Order 10 boxes and they'll replace it, maybe not with 10, but a lot more than just one.

ALO, The current supply/demand ratio is such that walking into a fully stocked store twice a year to buy components is an unreasonable expectation. I would suggest a few things...

1) It's been my experience that good stores take care of customers that are loyal to them. Find a local small store and repeatedly give them your business. Be nice. Don't expect them to match the lowest internet prices; they have overhead the internet stores do not. You might pay a little extra, but in the long run this will pay off.

2) If option #1 isn't available to you, back order what you want and wait. If you'd done this back in May, you'd have received all you need by now. Buy enough to last you a while.

3) Lose the attitude. Adapt, overcome. We're all in the same boat as you, and all the serious shooters I know have been able to find enough supplies to keep on shooting.

If these suggestions are too much effort, then by all means, quit.
