When do you know -- Pet Dog End of Life?

My 14-year old Heinz 57 could not get comfortable enough to sleep through the night. Unusual for him. At this point I brought him to our country vet and they informed me that he had advanced neuropathy and spinal stenosis. So we let him go and he gave me a goodbye kiss and that was it. Loved that guy like you wouldn’t believe. And I took him across our great country during his life. He was something. Maximus! Best wishes to you

I had a Boxer I 'inherited' from my GF daughter. Great old feller. He started going down hill quickly. We waited a few days too long. There are services that will come to your home. I prefer that route to taking them to GD Vet. A little planning will be a great service to your pooch. Good luck.

I agree my dogs have a negative thought about going to the vet.

Sorry to hear of your problems, but it proves what I said about trusting a vet. My vet practice is all women, extraordinarily well trained and uses common sense on evaluating the situation. I trust them completely to do what is right for both owner and pet.
