I agree, my friend and I chambered a Dasher barrel for my Tikka.
Here’s a seating depth test at 1000 yards, I’d say it shoots pretty darn well for a hunting rifle.

At short range the 6BR is just slightly behind the 6ppc for group or 30BR for score. At 800 to 1000 yards it’s just slightly behind the 7mm variants for F Class. From 300 to 600 it can hold its own with anything!!!!!!
If I could have just one rifle to shoot from 100 to 1000 yards I would have a hard time choosing between my old 6mmBR or my new 6mm BRA.
I’m not a hunter but it can easily do varmints, deer, hogs etc. About the only thing I wouldn’t use it for is big game. But then again if you were to take a head shot it would easily drop an elk.
The reason it’s so popular is VERSATILITY. It’s also economical, easy to reload and easy to tune. what’s not to like.

I'm really fond of my 6BRX. Shot quite a few cleans with it at 600 and 1000 and won a few matches with it also even at nationals at Camp Perry. Berger 105's and 108's shoot equally well.

In IBS style Bigger bullet = same poi gets you the dot or the 10 ring more often.
Ubr kinda threw a wrench into that with the change of dot size. (Dot is x).

But still the easie of 6mm shooting vs 30br shooting also plays a role.

Thanks, it should serve me well for deer and antelope out to mid range at least and likely more.

Johnny, have you tried the 30BRS? I'm running 37.1 of H4198 and it kicks! (like a young mule!) .080 longer than the standard 30BR.
I'm getting 3250 FPS with it.
