Whats up with 6BR / BRA ?.

Please forgive the ignorant question.But i'm wondering whats unique or special about this caliber or group of calibers that it gets its own forum and is separated out from everything else? Esp all the other 6mms.

Is it prolific use in benchrest shooting or what's the deal? Does it have a unique history or provenance or something that makes Uniquely accurate? Can other calibers be just as accurate?

I'm not as much a newbie, as I sound like LO.L I just seriously don't know much of anything about this caliber.

Accuracy, efficiency, ease of shooting. You should really buy one and see what it’s all about!

The 6BR and all of the off-springs have shown some very good accuracy very close to the 6PPC and in some isolated cases even beating the PPC. The case has sponsored many off-springs that keep winning consistently. This definitely qualifies it for all the recognition afforded.

Maybe THATS why Im seeing guys shoot 0.1s and 0.2s and Im stuck in the O.3s ( or worse)

It’s as simple as, “they just plain shoot”.. If You will shoot 1,000yds, go with the 6mmBRA. It’s the only variant needed to get started IMO.

Shooting the 6br definley will not hurt your chances of shooting in the 0.1 and 0.2
