Whats the best?

Whats the best press set up yall have found for resizing, considering space restrictions, and very limited storage room? (RV living)

Im looking for a small mobile press set up to use with redding dies when resizing... dont have to load anything bigger than 284 win.. Cant drill or permanent mount it to any rv parts (ie - table/counter tops)

Harrell’s turret press , small, compact and clamps on. I only use it for 308 size and smaller so I’m not sure about the 284 in it. Good luck. Troy

- The Lee Hand Press is also an option. - 7/8 x 14 dies screw into it. - Has enough leverage to F/L size 284 Win brass & seat bullets. - I carry one in my range box to push bullets on pre-loaded ammo for range testing (seating depth). Uses standard shell holders & is compact.
Cost is minimal as well. - May not be considered "as the best" but takes up minimal space & is very portable.

Here is my in the house setup. Summit press with 1/4” thick steel channel and a cat bowl bored into it to catch primers. I just put it on my coffee table on a towel and it works good to use and watch tv. Its very heavy so the table better be substantial. The cat bowl doubles as a bullet holder when you seat bullets

Jackie Schmidt, one of the better BR shooters, uses the Partner presses at the matches. He can afford anything, but buys what will do the job.

I'm low on match experience, but I've seen a number of those in use. A gunsmith friend of mine suggested I get one so I did. He made a tool that squares them up. When he did mine, he had two others there also.

At one time I had a hood, coax, and rcbs rock chucker. With the same cases, lube, and die I compared shoulder bump consistency between all 3. The Hood produced the most consistent bump lengths, which is something that I strive for.
