I ordered a Weaver tactical scope base (around $40) with 20 moa built in. I placed it on my rifle. Because it has the "extra" slots at the front of the base, i cannot move my scope back very far (IE cannot get the range of placements I might need).
Also, because my rifle is left handed, the way the bottom of the base is designed, it does no eject the shells every time.
Now, should I:
1. Cut the front of the base off and grind a portion of the bottom of the base to allow the shells to (possibly) eject. Or
2. Send the base back and get a 20 moa base from the same company I already had? (For 3 times the price). (http://www.kenfarrell.com/index.html)
Hmmm...
I do like how the weaver has a recoil lug on it... which the Farrell base does not. But all the other minuses might be too much to over come...
Thanks for the opinions!
