What was or is your most accurate 22lr?

And…..I gave up chasing ammo lots for specific 22LR rigs. I have went PCP air rifle and am not looking back. I sold my 52WW, missed it some and bought a Bergara B14R carbon, thought it shot very good for a few years. Enter my step into air, no issue with thinning some stuff out to supply me with another air gun.

Just out of curiosity and maybe a trip down memory lane for some folks.

Mine would have to be a recently sold Rimx with a custom green mountain barrel on it. It would absolutely hammer SK ammo.
I have a 52d now that is showing tons of potential that I hope to get the trigger reworked/ lightened up, if the old timer trigger whisperer ever gets back with me to work his magic on it.
Tikka T1X ,Weaver Grand slam 20 X variable, threaded for suppressor nothing escapes me out to 100 yards.Eley match flat nose , not only accurate but the flat nose drops squirrels and gh's and yotes in their tracks, headshots .Fifty yards benched solid.

Yeah my PCP air rifle in 22 cal is fun to shoot and very deadly on varmints! I run the H&N Baracuda Match 21.14gr pellets subsonic at 980 fps and it’s crazy accurate

I just got back into the 22 rimfire rifle game last year. Purchased a Tikka T1X. So far, I am satisfied with the performance for a sporter rifle. The aftermarket vertical pistol grip made a huge difference in my ability to shoot this rifle accurately. I am shooting off a bipod with a rear rest, off the bench.

I've been shooting CCI Standard Velocity ammo, and I just completed a 150-round series of 5 personal matches (30 rounds per match on an A17) target) and I averaged 97.1 (with 4 alibis). But I had 4 flyers in this series that occurred at random. I attributed the "flyers" to the ammo since these were extreme, i.e., 5 ring and beyond compared to the other 146 rounds shots, so I allowed myself an alibi and these alibi shots were either 10's or 9's.

I am going to look around locally and see I can get some better ammo just to see if it is more consistent.

A farmer friend has a problem ground hog under a shed and has asked me to eradicate this critter. I can set up at about 40 yards so I might give the new Tikka its first field test. I hunted them with a 22 rifle in the early 60's with a hand me down 22 Mossberg. As I remember, it was a head shot deal only, at 50 yards and under.

Kidd 10/22, it’s all Kidd and it’s shoots itty bitty. I’ve never had anything like a Voduu, 40x, 54 or 64 but that rifle shoots the best I’ve ever had and with a variety of ammo. I would like to own a stupid accurate bolt some day. I have a Win 75 target, a couple CZs that do a decent job but not on the level most of you are at. I’d take a pic of the Kidd but I’m on the road. I actually built four of them in different set ups but one really outshines them all.

A old heavy barreled Sears Roebuck Ranger 10/22 built in 1940. It was their benchrest model and passed down to me from my grandfather.

On good days it will hold groups at or just under 1” at 100 yards, sometimes 1/2” or better if the wind is behaving. Actually shoots the cheap American Eagle ammo extremely well! Crazy how good this 80+ year old rifle will still shoot.

we need a pic of the old gal

My 1963 vintage 52D with Redfield 3200 12X was likely my most accurate rifle, even though inside the barrel looks like a sewer pipe. (Downside having a borescope). My new CZ457 Varmint MTR is just scary accurate at 50 yards and the barrel isn't broken in yet nor have I found which ammo it really likes. SK Long Range and Eley Match head the list so far. Center-X has been disappointing so far.
