What was or is your most accurate 22lr?

My
CZ 457 has held a .440” 5 shot group @ 100 yards. Eley black box match. Pretty much stock. Timney trigger, 20 moa rail, vari X III 6.5-20 1/8 dot. I shot 100 10X last week in our 100 yd BR league. But my Shilen barreled 10/22 is right there too. Both are Better than my 40x or my 52.

I have an Anschutz 1712 in the factory McMillan Stock, single stage trigger. It's topped with Talley Lightweights and a Leupold 4.5-14x40AO. I've owned it since it was new and it's the most ammo tolerant .22 I've ever seen. Shot this 10/31 with a new lot of Wolf, $4.75 a box. Brian.

And…..I gave up chasing ammo lots for specific 22LR rigs. I have went PCP air rifle and am not looking back. I sold my 52WW, missed it some and bought a Bergara B14R carbon, thought it shot very good for a few years. Enter my step into air, no issue with thinning some stuff out to supply me with another air gun.
Yesterday at the range with my 40X. One decent group at 50 yds with Lapua Center X...then for grins I pulled out the FX .25 cal Wildcat. I've shot about 5,000 pellets thru it. I shot a 8-shot 50 yd group with one flyer pellet. The dang thing still shoots! PCP's are just down right FUN!!

It is a win win situation when the ammo is cheaper and shoots bug eye groups. You need to buy all you can of that particular lot number if you can. Great shooting!

Sorry no pictures but I have a winchester 52D that shoots pretty good for me and for sporter I have a cheaper Remington 541T sporter that is not much to look at for wood BUT DANG! it can shoot very small groups if I do my part.

I only have sporter type rifles for the most part. I don't compete or hunt. I just like shooting. I'm fortunate to have an Anschutz 1710HB, Kimber K22 Hunter, Steyr Zephyr II and a bunch of CZ 452s and 457s of various flavors. I am pretty confident that the Anschutz is the most accurate of the bunch. None of them are slouches, though, and all are limited by me being the shooter. However, if I absolutely had to make a shot count with any of my rifles, I would reach for my 452 American 22lr topped with a Weaver V-24.
