WHAT UP WITH THE PRICES

What in the F#%^$#^&^& is up with bullet, brass, powder, primer prices. Is this some sort of price war on who can charge the most and where does it end 1000.00 a box for brass or what? It is rediculase for the prices there charging to where I am probly going to give it up. Almost a 100.00 for 100 peices of brass what the #$&%^&^ is up with that. I can't imagine the price of a brass musical instrument. Anybody have any input on whats going on? I think i've had enough. Maybe sell my guns and go buy a bigscreen TV and just sit home and twittle my thumbs.

The value of the dollar has tanked, so all imports, including most of our powders) have risen in direct proportion - ~30%.

China and Russia have now become competitors in international bidding for metals, including, but not limited to... ), brass, copper, Aluminum, Lead, steel, cobalt, and Uranium.

Lenses for our scopes,,and all foreign scopes) have risen.

Just in case you haven't been to the store in the past year and a half, milk is up from $2.70 to close to $4.80, and decent hamburger is up to 7.95+ a pound.

Same for all meat, vegetables, fruits, airline fares, heating oil...

... and oh yeah - gasoline!

P.S... corn is up too! :,

So don't stop shooting, stop living!

Lito,
Once the Dem's take over the government get ready to hunker down and ride out a bad storm. Might not be a depression, but it will be a hard recession. Remember the Carter years in the 70's? Gas lines, price of gas doubled+, double digit inflation, 18% home mortgages, the Dow in the cellar, need I go on?
HISTORY DOE"S REPEAT ITSELF!!!!!!

Oh, and kiss assault weapons goodbye, perhaps all automatics, high capacity magazines, Sniper rifles, that's just about every bolt action with a scope) etc. etc. etc. Obama is worse than Hillary on anything to do with guns.

The rest of the world is just sitting back and rubbing their hands with glee because they all hate our guts and would love to see us go tit's up. The E.U. and the Euro was a huge step in that direction, now China, and don't forget our old buddy Russia before it's over those two might just gang up and administer the Coup de Gras.
Hell, even the Canadians don't like us. The only ones that still do are the Mexicans because in another twenty years they'll control this country. We are S.O.L.

I remember the Carter years, and I think we are on the way there... but then, we had more friends, now we have almost none.

Dog gone if you did not get that right. We are thought less of in the world arena that anytime in history that I can remember in my lifetime. So fellows, hold on. I think it's going to be a tough row to hoe. Sad part is, look what kind of shape we are already in before they get their hands on us. Bill

I tried to trade the wifie for a shotgun and got no takers.

So I tried to sell her...

... started at $15,000, and worked it's way down to .25 cents, and I still got no takers.

I can't imagine why. I mean any prospective buyer was getting a real deal by the pound ;), as she had a LOT more of them than when I met her.

And she was hardly used at all - I mean she did nothing in the house, never went to work, and had a headache for 15 years :,

She had a good sense of direction... I tried to get rid of her by driving off from a gas station when she went to the little girls room, and she found her way home...

... from Ethiopia!!

I finely had to pay a lawyer to get rid of her - and she still was a PITA for eight more years.!

Lito,

Ha! You must have had a bad run with women. Myself on the other hand happen to be married to a beautiful woman, much younger than I, who looks like Susan Kowoloski from the Crocodile Dundee movies, lets me do anything I want, buy anything I want, go anywhere I want. Is a great mother to our son, works a good job,and for some strange reason loves me.
I THINK SHE'S A KEEPER!

As soon as We Win the war, prices will come down!

According to McCain, that will be in a hundred years.

I hate to break the news to you, son - but we ain't gonna win the war...,and I'm no peace nick).

We don't have what it takes to "win the war". Our solders can do it, but the American people don't have the stomach it takes to basically wipe out half of the middle east.

Look a Kuwait - we quit when the going was great, because the American people couldn't stand the sight of the carnage of rout of route 6.

We like our wars nice and clean - like on TV movies.

We will get tired of this war,we are already), the AQ's will go into hiding - we will declare the war won and go home, and the middle east will explode into a God awful inferno of a nightmare, and prices will stay up there.

Plus, you are forgetting that we are competing with Russia, China, and other third world countries for raw materials, and that is just going to get worse, as they discover the joys of capitalism.

Welcome to economics 101, 21st century style!

What happened in Kuwait was the direct result of dealing with the United Nations. Those good people would only sanction a rescue mission, if we promised to only "Liberate" Kuwait.

Catshooter, you are absolutely right. Having spent from May 2003 to May 2005 in Iraq, I am of the opinion that this is a lost cause. Not because of our fine soldiers, sailors, airmen and some of the contractors. But because the Iraqi's see this as another chance to extort and steal from not only other Iraqi's but from our military. The Iraqi police and security forces are absolutely untrustworthy. It is commonplace for the Iraqi's to have to pay to get through checkpoints these crooks set up.

These people are incapable of leading themselves. They are like sheep, this is why they won't turn out the insurgents. When the United States does finally declare victory and pulls our troops out anarchy and dictatorship will soon return.

And they will deserve the next Saddam.

Rant over.

Europe, Canada, and other nations are also competing for raw material and yet their currencies are stable compared to the US dollar. It is more than the competition for materials that is putting the squeeze on the US economy. It hasn't been this bad since the Vietnam war and probably for the same reason.

Simple, stop printing money and the price of the dollar in terms of commodities will go up. If the price of everything is going up, we can reasonably assume there is a problem with the management of the dollar.

As for the war... Iraq was not our friend before we invaded. Syria is not our friend. Iran is not our friend. Why are we afraid of our enemies fighting each other?

I spent my time in Iraq OIFII 0311.

We're printing this money to pay for the 100's of billions for the war in Iraq.

We're in this mess partially because of incompetent intelligence services.

Thank you for your service. You guys and gals do great work! Wish you had better leadership in the Pentagon and White House and Capitol Hill.
