Well, I may have led you down the wrong path. You have, indeed deceived a wealth of good advice and should be able to decided and make a wise decision.The "gun smiths" I know would probably shy away from adjusting an accutrigger any lower than Savage will allow. Same for a Rifle Basix. There is a bit of loose tolerance in a Savage action to attempt a real light trigger pull and be safe. You might be able to locate a used Target type accurate trigger (Red Blade for a Reason) that you can install and it may get you lower.
If you are not a competition shooter, I would practice with the trigger you have until it's a smooth repetition for you.
