What Trigger?

I am considering buying a trigger for my Remington 700 VLS. Any thoughts on what brand I should look into. The gun is mainly used for some long distance varmints and target shooting..

Jewell or Basix. Jewell is more expensive. I am using a Basix on a Rem 722 action in F Class and am happy with it.

Long40shot, Jewell and Rifle basics are fine choices. If you are on more of a budget you can get a nice Timney trigger or buy a spring replacemnet for your stock Remmington and get it close to 1 1/2 lbs. Thats about as far as I would take the Rem and still consider it safe.

Scout1: Good point on the Timney. I have two Rem 722 actions for F Class, one with a Basix trigger, other with a Timney. Can`t tell the difference. Both very good.
