I was able to find some of the 230 Target Hybrids from a member on the forum. My rifle shoots so well with the 230's that I was having a tough time making the switch to the 215's as well. I am elated to find the 230's and think I will hang onto the 215's for a rainy day and possibly try to work up a backup load like others have suggested. I shoot the 230's over H1000 and might try the 215's over Re26 just to have a completely different load for times of shortage, even though both powders are hard to come by. I have 8 - 1lb cans of H1000 with the same lot number that I have labeled to be used with the 30-28 only and have an 8lb jug of Re26 that I don't reload into anything. I am really excited to see how the 230's perform on game this fall.
What is your load data with your 30-28?
Mine is as follows:
Piercision Rifle Proof 9tw barrel
ADG Brass necked up to .304" full length resize with .0025 shoulder bump (I did turn the necks but didn't see an accuracy increase so I prob will not turn necks in the future)
230 gr Berger Target Hybrids .028 off the lands
83.2 gr H1000 slightest pressure signs
Fed215M
2985fps with an SD of 5 and ES of 15
Rifle shoots sub 1/4 MOA out to 700 yards which is as far as I have the ability to shoot but might have a location I can shoot out to 1200 this summer, if/when the landowner invites me.
