What to build?

I shoot at 600 yds. 95% of the time, 1000 the other 5%
Already have a couple of BR rifles, looking to build another tactical rifle for mostly 600 yds. but will take it long once in awhile.
What are the most accurate calibers for the 600 yds. range?
I have a 6BRA already, looking for something else.
Give me a couple.

I’ll probably catch a lot of flak, but I would have to say a 6.5 Creedmoor. You mentioning building a tactical rifle, that means a cartridge that fits and feeds from a magazine. Your 6bra pretty much covers the 6mm cartridges. Next step up is the 6.5’s. Anything bigger is going to suffer from case capacity or recoil. The PRS guys proved the Creedmoor before they stepped down to the 6mm’s for less recoil for spotting. There is some experimenting in the 25 calibers, but that is in it’s infancy. 6.5 Creedmoor is a proven accurate long distance cartridge with lots of available components. My 2 cents.

On completely different track how about a 257 Roberts Improved with 40 degree shoulder?

6GT or 6.5x47 would be my step up from a 6BRA. If you must go bigger then there are all the 7mm's, I have seen some great results from the straight Win284.

I don't know where you are at with any weight restrictions etc., but I would consider the 300wsm. I have one that is a great shooter in a PRS-type configuration using a Terminus Kratos action a T-Tech Diamond 2 stage and a Terminator brake with an IOR Recon that has 150 min. internal adjustment. Has hardly any recoil and from 300 out to 1750yds it is quite amazing........The 300wsm is easy to tune and built on a LA you can use heavy bullets seated long. I use Berger 210vld Hunting.

If it were me at those distances and longer.....6X47, or the 6XC.

Id go with a 6.5 PRC..but that's just because i love the case size...
However there really is no right or wrong answer to this question...They will all work

What about a .224 based round. They are a lot of fun at distance. I have my 223 shooting 85.5 bergers right now at 600 and intend to carry out to 1000. A 223AI would be easy too. Another fun one would be the 22XC @urbanrifleman has a thread on here about it. I'm tempted to give it a go. It would compliment the 6XC I've got I think. 90gr Bergers at 1000, should be fun.

6xc Tubb shooting Barnes 112. You could also do the 6 Creed with Barnes 112.

22xc 170 Fb with 88 eldm or 90 Smk is sone really cheap shooting. Also 22 bra with same.

You don't mention what size cartridge your looking for but I’ll give an opinion.

Mid size case, 6.5x47

Short action mag - 7 Saum with 180 hybrids or 6.5 PRC with 156 grain bergers

Bugger rifle? 300 Norma mag improved with 230 grain bergers.

Always fun deciding what to build, good luck in your endeavor.

A 6 Grendel is sweet and I think they can hang at 600. Of course the big guns will often come to the top in bad conditions but that little case is a tack driver. You asked for something different. Hard to beat a straight 6BR too.
