What the pros use

Not sure if it was ultimate reloaded or 6mmbr that did an articule on what the pros use using the dasher, but that was years go and my question is with new equipment coming out almost daily has anything changed in terms of bullets brass primers powder etc…??? I mean to ask what’s been winning??

Here is a 2024 update.

PRS or benchrest ? two totally different accuracy reqirements

This is why prs is such a nonesense from a target shooting standpoint. It’s less about shooting than it is about kneeling, running and looking cool.
I've shot a few PRS matches and never did any running and doubt I looked cool.....
The matches must be different where you're at I guess the ones I've attended your shooting better be on point or you'll be looking clueless instead of cool.

I've shot maybe 10 or so PMS matches.
I'm not very good at it because I never practice that discipline. I'm 70 years old and can keep up with most of the younger guys. But,, I do it just for fun occasionally. Some have some really silly props. I admire the skill of the top guys, as previously mentioned, they can shoot!

Spoken like someone who has never shot a PRS match. There is a good deal of accuracy needed in the sport. Not about looking cool but being able to move and shoot accurately from multiple positions in a short period of time. I have been shooting the sport for 21 years.

I'd call it a shooting sport rather than "target shooting." I have shot a few and never noticed anyone trying to "look cool," just some excellent shooters who can get into position very quickly, dial for various distances, make a quick wind call, and make incredible shots at breakneck speed. Too hard at my age so I gave it up and moved to F-class. You may want to try it and show those guys how it's done!
