Well in that case, it makes no sense to shoot a big 300 win mag or Lapua since they are built for burning a lot of powder to achieve higher speeds. Might as well save money on powder and shoot smaller rounds if you don’t care about speed.Well this is helpful. I personally don’t chase high velocity because of the reasons stated above...just so I can hit my target within the guns capabilities I don’t care how hard it hitsI use to use high test loads in 308 W w/17t’s and then backed down to 2620 FPS and all is well...
