I am going to assume you are talking of a rest for a bench as in benchrest. I have seen most and I would say a John Loh comes highly recommend. One reason why Jon started at San Gabriel where I am the Shoot Director. I have seen many shooters at San Gab sell the others and buy a Loh. But seriously they are the best I have seen. Everything works equally well, damn good. Operation is flawless year after year. Jon is a shooter that's a plus. Everything on the rest is guaranteed.
