I had to correct my comments as my first Vudoo wears a 20" Kukri and no the 18" I was relating.
It may just seem it to me but I think I actually lose velocity more at longer (past 200 yards) with the 22" barrel.
My 20" Kukri has a TT Diamond and I love it. It wears a Bergara stock with adjustable cheekpiece and a Hawkins M5 bottom metal. I am happy with it considering I paid right at $300 for it. But I did have to have that speckle look covered with a good coat of Ceracoat.
Went with a Jewell (with safety) on the 22" to save a few $. The 22" is in a KRG Bravo and, although stock feel is subjective, I think you'll like one.
Well you are correct and that is a huge oversight on my part! I bought my first Vudoo used. It turned out to be an early gun and had some little nagging issues on ejection. I spoke to Paul and he was just fantastic. They paid the shipping to and from them, did all the upgrades and returned it to me in less than 10 days. Jill was also great at keeping me up to speed on everything going on during the time too.I don't see where anyone, including myself, mentioned to the OP that he should call Vudoo and talk to Paul or Greg about barrel profile and length. They will ask questions and guide you in your choices. Greg is their sales guy and he told me he shoots an 18" Kukri. Also confirmed the opinions here that for this gun, 18 or 20 is the optimum performer. Ordering with Vudoo is just another positive part of the process.

The Kukri is similar to the Med Palma/Rem Varmint. I don't have a diagram but you can look at the Bartlein contours to get an idea.

Unless you want extra weight no real reason to go with the MTU.
Ive got a 22"Bartlein MTU in a Gray Boe stock it shoots great but weighs a little over 12lbs. For a plinker/ hunter you might wanna go lighter.Looking at getting a vudoo 22 and not sure weather to go for mtu or Kukri. Right now I can get a Kukri 20 or 22” for 2499 but I’d have to order an mtu and it would most likely be a few months and 2700-2850 ish due to the new dollar! Curious if it’s worth the extra dough and wait time to get into an 18” mtu or grab the 20” Kukri!
rifle will be used 90% for plinking/target and fun. But with 22 comps just starting to make a break in Canada I will try my luck there with the rifle too, but with a new baby on the way, and a busy work schedule it will mainly be for target/fun
Interesting, flatlander. I've been shooting a CMP NIB Kimber 82G for about six years. It's been fun, but I'm ready to seriously upgrade; see recent match target below.I've gone with 22" bbls on all three of my V-22s, and have no regrets. ... ETA photo - top to bottom: V22 Kukri, V22 Sendero, V22 #4 sptr, 40XB Sendero, CZ457 VPT/Shilen .850" straight - all bbl's are 22".
Wow.... lotta dudes complaining about literally 13oz of additional weight. Kukri 20" = 5 lb 13 oz . MTU 20" = 6 lbs 10 oz.
I'm guessing this is how y'all drink your beer:

And from the benchrest crowd, no less. Man up.![]()
Hey garandman, I have not seen one single dedicated RFBR in this thread or any rifle being shot off a bench like a RFBR rifle. not sure how you can associate this as a bench rest crowd!

Might want to go tell the cry babies complaining about rhe Razor II scopes that at SH.
As to the barrel on a Vudoo .22, any of the contours are plenty stiff for it's use and recoil. Will just come down to the weight you want.
