What primer to substitute

If you are pushing hot loads, my $0.02 would be to stay away from CCI400.

Perhaps look at
CCI450
CCI41
Rem 7.5

If you want non-magnum but strong enough cups…
BR-4s
205M (probably good but I think less “durable” than the others).

NOT 400s (would be my advice)

And maybe consider backing off a bit on charge when you switch…

The charge I was running was on the higher end. I went above max charge one .1 grain at a time. Didn’t see any increase but had 5 loads of each that I used on p dogs. Only one of the primers pierced at the firing pin so I settled on lowering the charge back down which gave me best group anyways
