What Powder - 6.5G & 129ABLR

I have a couple hundred Nosler 129gn ABLR bullets.
Gun is a 12.5" 6.5Grendel gas gun running suppressed.

Powders on hand:
Varget
CFE223
2460
H4350

Will any of these work?
Data on this bullet/weight class is pretty sparse.

CFE 223. Work a ladder up from 29.0 grains with 450/41 primers looking for a velocity node, and determine distance from lands before you do, instead of simply loading to mag length. Run a seating depth test once you’ve established velocity node. I think I can readily run velocity up another 40-50 fps in 20” barrels, but 2400 is easier on brass, and well within scope of expansion criteria of ABLR’s.

The 129 ABLR is a fairly long bullet. At mag length (2.260") I would not go higher than 31 gr CFE-2223.
31 gr should still be below 58,000 psi, but the rifle will prefer and be more happy in the 50,000 - 52,000 psi.
30 gr will get you around 2,400 fps. Too many variables to know for sure, but @bobke recommendation starting at 29 gr is logical.

CFE223 also. You will probably not get enough varget or H4350 in the small grendel case to push the 129.

8208xbr might be worth a try also if you can find some.

XBR might be a bit pressure sensitive if you’re trying to wring velocity out of ABLR’s, or heavier range of bullets. Work a ladder to an acceptable limit and a seating depth test to insure a consistent result, in our now cooler weather. Re-examine when temps poke back up.

If you can get your hands on some AR Comp it does pretty well with that bullet. Right around 26.7 grains. Very accurate. I know CFE will work I’m just not a ball powder guy. Leverevolution also spherical, ball powder would also be another good powder to try and will probably give you top end velocity.

8208 is my go to...mainly as Power Pro Varmint isn't around here right now. Benchmark also works with 100g pills. BTW - I'm loading a bolt gun.
