Since you are asking about 8208XBR - I have a Remington 700 Varmint - also with the same twist. I use 24.0 grns with moly 52 Bergers. Just under 2900 FPS but puts them in crazy small groups - including one under .10" Remington cases, Remington 71/2 primer. Seated .005" off lands. Will do almost as well with 50 V-Max. If not using moly, reduce powder 2/10th grn. for same velocity. You should be able to make good use of your 8208 with any bullet under 60 grains - for best results, use 40 to 50 grain V-Max, Bergers, Nosler CC, etc.
If you find that your gun just doesn't like 8208, the best powders for my army of .223's has shown to be LT32, RL7, W748 8208XBR and TAC - in that order. With that twist and lighter bullets - the faster powders tend to get really good results- but there is always the exception. I've had success with a very large assortment of other powders such as Varmint, Varget, H322, 10X, Exterminator, Benchmark, N133, N140, etc., but these are the ones that I always start with because in most cases - it will be one of these that does best.
