What non gun projects have you been doing?

Getting farm equipment ready to plant wheat, final spraying of the season, start getting house things prepped for winter, waging war on Armadillos and wild hogs, and still need to insulate and drywall my new reloading room I framed out in the back of my boat storage building.

Planted my wildlife food plots this weekend, a combination of oats and rye with wheat in the lower areas that have better moisture retention. Also some icicle radish in the lower areas. Praying to the Good Lord for rain.

Had it till Summer of 71. Oh ! The Days.

Have a small hay farm here too.......Hay is cheap here in Utah this year with all the extra/free water

Everyone has hay......these pics.....first cut July...fresh plant....yielded 66 bales..3x3x8

I hire my hay out....I water.....they cut/bale my fields

I follow him around with my drone......

Yep! About half what it was bringing last year.

Over the last couple/three spring thaws I’ve built my mountain cabin, I liked it so much we decided to call it home.
I’m in about 40,000 cash, if someone doesn’t like the way I live I tell them I don’t care, don’t bother stopping by.

Might stop by for a visit if I'm ever in the area. Probably be spring though

After I heal up from this double hernia surgery I'm going to form and pour another slab attached to my garage I built. After that I think I'll come out of retirement.

Slab work is how you get double hernias. Be careful.

I am a retired Millwright and always looking for a project. Found this 28" zero turn snowblower on our local classifieds for $250. The guy I bought it from said he started it under his patio cover and walked across the street to visit his neighbor. The cover collapsed on on it. Took a little work but it is up and going.

New quieter Dynomax mufflers and then rubber isolaters for the electric fuel pump which all of a sudden seemed so loud, the old one chamber Flowmaster race mufflers covered up ALL noises!

These are big, 1/12 scale, Porsche 908/3, and Brabham BT 46 which I saw race @ US grand prix at Watkins Glen.
Always thought it was the prettiest F1 car, finished about 2 weeks ago, about 200 hours worth.

Erosion set in on our pond bank and it needed to be lined with rock. I think this was 8-9 tri axle dump trucks over 4 years... once they dumped every rock had to be loaded into the tractor bucket by hand to apply. Finally done.

Also...15 acres and it seems I always have more trees in the wrong places to cut down. Right now I have a 60ft hickory laying down from a storm that needs to get cut up over the winter, and hundreds of Bradford pears and mulberry to clear.

Painting most of the inside of the house. After that will be new flooring and trim. Genaerally I do the mud work (and there has been alot, it was both pretty poorly done before me and beat up) and my wife paints. When I get a spare minute I have been getting a couple snowmobiles ready for the season. One is a basketcase I bought to use ice fishing that sat for 10 plus years. The other will be for my oldest daughter to trail ride, it will be almost completely assembled from leftover parts from previous projects , yes, I have that many snowmobile parts laying around.

Rebuilt the gear drive on the 30” mower, new bearings, seals, gaskets. New throttle and choke cables on the tractor and after sitting 8 years, started with 6 pulls. Went mowing…

I am a low achiever compared to you guys. I borrowed my neighbors little tow behind sprayer and used T-zone on my lawn to kill the creeping charlie. I grew up in this house, then inherited it. I recall my dad once limed the lawn, in about 1975. That is all the care it ever got. I decided it was time to try to fend off the weeds and improve the grass. Hey, its a start....! I will likely regret it. It will either kill everything green (costly to start over) or it will improve the grass, which will mean more mowing and less shooting. What is wrong with me!?

I had a 12 horse 1985 Commercial. I loved it but couldn't find anyone to rebuild the iron block engine, so I ended up selling it. Great machines. I had a 50 inch deck, a 30 inch round mower (mine had a pie shaped cut out in front and a saw blade for cutting christmas trees down...or potentially taking down the Jolly Green Giant... and I had a rotary plow, a harrow, a sickle bar mower and snowblower that would launch small dogs if they got too close, a quick change pilot, plus a sulky and trailer. Incredible machines with very little in the way of modern safety features. Loved it

Agreed, very rugged for yard work or light brush work. I had a dozen when young. Sold them all, now getting back into them. This one is a 6.6hp, maybe a 1964. Quite impressive to those who have never operated one. I always joke that it does half the work.

LS3 swap in my 66 Chevelle. It’s close to being done. I took it as far as my limited talents could go and it’s now at my buddy Jeff’s to finish the wiring. Colorblind folks and wiring don’t typically get along. I’m no exception to that rule!

A sweet car. When the '66 big block came out it was THE deal, coolest thing. My favorite year. And the blue. LS swap is a good one though. You can get impressive power from them. A friend did a 6.2 LS swap in in his '70, built and turbo, dyno's 800+rwhp. He never does things small..
