I hear ya!…. I learned years ago to buy when you can get it. I still buy and have paid those prices but I don’t need to ,… I got maybe if I’m lucky 20 years left in shooting and I can easily do that.Last time I bought powder it was $27 a pound to my door. Most of it is less than that per pound. Last time I bought primers they were 2.8 cents apiece and those were federal 205M. And the last time I bought some 6.5 Bergers they were approaching $40 a box. Haven’t bought brass for quite a while. I think I paid close to $.90 apiece for 6BR brass and a dollar apiece for 6.5 x 47. That’s one nice thing about Lapua it tends to last seemingly forever. Having lived through other shortages or whatever you want to call it I figured since I had a little extra coin in my pocket when Trump was in office and things were actually on sale I bought enough for the rest of my shooting/ hunting career. It’s too bad what things have become and I certainly feel for young men and women wanting to get into shooting sports. I can’t say is that I am surprised by anything that has happened or will happen. Let’s hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
To answer the question, I think I would be done at $50 a pound.
