What is the most soult after 6mm projectile for short range Br?

“They probably cut their sku's in half or better, over time. For a long time, they'd make anything you wanted if you ordered 10,000 pieces.”

Kinda what happens with all businesses when bought out/new ownership. How do we make more $$$ because we paid a premium for that acquisition ….. ends up cutting consumer options and increasing their costs for less choices. Unfortunately it’s the world we live in now days …☹️

I really like this bullet but, you just can't get any right now due to Jacket Shortages.
...and not sure I'd call it a shortage. More like, people bought more than the bullet makers ordered and the order has to be put in nearly a year ahead of time. So yes, it becomes a shortage. More people are probably trying the 80's than ever before, too, so it'll take a bit to adjust order quantities to meet the new demand for specific jackets..etc.

I only fiddle around with a couple very dated BR rifles. So my thoughts hold little water. However, I have been kinda stuck using 52 gr Berger in my 22PPC for lack of easily obtainable 22 BR bullets. I watch for old custom BR bullets in 22 but never see them. I had a few Ross Sherman 22 and they were like diamonds.

In 6MM I can easily get Bergers, etc, but also I have bought up small lots of custom bullets...Cheek, Conaway, Bruno, Euber, Barts, Bib etc. Without any doubt EVERY one of the custom bullets shoots betterer than the Berger. For 100-200 BR, that has has been my experience.
I read this post twice.

Glad I asked about this. I was debating buying a 1000 Bergers 68s. Not now.
A while back I bought a 1000'. If the sierra 70s thinking they would do the job. They shot ok. And I'm still working with them in another gun, but it's a faster twist bbl .
Who makes these "Joker's". Bullets?
That's the ones Iv never heard of before.
And I do believe I'll try the 80g dominator if I can find some
Thanks for all the replies

Support our custom hand pulled bullet makers! With that FB, case capacity, powder and twist I'd be trying 68's and 80's.
In the Short Range BR no serious competitors use anything but custom bullets. On a scale of 1-20 + all would be custom hand pulled.
and not many are using a 6bra to begin with.

Ok, Let me ask the question like this, If you had a brand new 12twist in 6bra, .50fb using vv133,
What bullet would you think might work the best?
Any true custom 68 grn bullet will work fine. There are myriads of them to try.

If you had some 4895, 2495, or something a little slower than the 133, I would say the Barts 80 would be a great choice in your 12 twist barrel. It is a true Short Range Benchrest Bullet, capable of sub .200 agging capability. 133 however, might be a tad fast for the 80 grn in a BR.

Berger makes great bullets, but in the game of Short Range Benchrest, they are considered semi-custom.

Some of the "best" are regional, I like Larry Moore "Hillbilly" bullets in 68 grain FB are hard to beat however my last order was for Barts due to lack of jackets, when I run short (or close) I'll probably place another order with Larry.
Barts are hard to beat,
Larry Moore Hillbillys are right there
Many others are available that I haven't tried but when you have 2 of the very best according the some of the very best shooters anywhere why would you look anywhere else? Want to argue? Call Bart 1st and after that get with me and I can give you a list of UBR National winners that have used Larrys bullets. OOPS!! Forgot to mention BIB Randy Robinett dang I'm getting old, sheez...........
Thanks!
