What is the 2" PPC?

Is the 2" PPC a 6.5 Carcano necked down to 6mm? The two cartridges are similar except in length. Might make a great 600yd match cartridge for someone who only has a PPC bolt.

this may be an misnomer, as 2 ppc represents in the internet advertising a way for advertisers to limit payment to 2 clicks per viewer

I know a couple of people that compete at 600 using a 6.5 Grendel necked down to 6mm.

In general, the Grendel case makes a nice starting point for those with a PPC bolt face.

Sling, I've heard of the cartridge as well.

In Dr. Kenneth E. Howell's book, "Designing and Forming Custom Cartridges", a wildcat cartridge is listed as the 6mm 2-inch PPC. Overall length of brass is 2.0150", 30° shoulder, .04450" head dia., with 67 gr. of water volume capacity. Unfortunately, it's one of the very few cases listed in his book without its parent case.

At the last match I was at, a shooter was using what he called the 2" PPC. It looked like a 6.5 Carcano necked down to 6mm. Basically a longer version 6PPC. Don`t know his name but he done well. It wasn`t the 6mm Grendel or the 6mmAR.
