I do not recall the level of poor service experienced currently during the late 80's, early 90's.What the big deal about the firings of USPS today? My Sister was fired by the Clinton administration from her job in the USPS back then. She was a higher up at one of 6 financial offices in the US. She was located in St Louis. The office was closed. She said her co-workers thought nothing of it and looked for another job. My Sister became the Postmaster at the St Charles, MO post office. I believe she was in charge of 350 employees.
Government is obese, thin the heard, deal with it. It's not quantity, it's quality.

THAT is the big deal.
Personally, I think the USPS is beyond saving.
You better go to online billing and payment now or risk a late fee.

Good luck. You'll need it.
