I am not a bench rest shooter but have seen a few bolt guns with improperly adjusted triggers that would fire when the safety was released, stock jared, or the bolt closed with a bit of force.....It isn't the rifle's fault that it wasn't put togeather to be safe.
We have all heard about expensive over unders-side by sides that would double on the trap and skeet range.
I personally owned a square back browning auto 5 slug gun that some one had lightened the trigger to about 2.5 lbs. That gun when fired the whole barrel comes back to work the action and when that heavy spring puts the barrel back forward it moves the whole gun forward making it the first time I ever experianced "bump fire". It is not something I think is desirable but it is sort of the way things work when triggers do not have enough enguagement...... The AR-15 was never a gun that I wanted but I did buy one back when Billy was in office. So far it always works as advertized, shoots sub MOA with good ammo. I think I will keep it even if I do have to chase the empties.
