I'm looking for a thumb wheel type, not a saddle type.

Thanks though

Check with Joel Russo @ jkrussos@comcast.net

Yup!! I have a stock with Joel for the same thing right now.. A stock Joel built in the first place...

Rod

Joel uses Alex Sitman adjustable cheek hardware system for all his builds. The best available system on the market. Steady, doesn't creep after setting like the McMillan system does and easily adjustable when needed.

McGee Stocks has excellent units as well. Just received an email from Steve that they are on their third model now. I have one of McGee's and one of Master Class', both work flawlessly. Warner Tool has one with a rare earth magnet so that one can remove the cheek piece for cleaning without having to unthread the adjustment screw.

You might want to check out the cheek rest hardware that Score High Gunsmithing has. Here is the link: http://www.scorehi.com/Tac_Shooting.htm#QD_Comb

The Alex Sitman hardware is the best out there. The McMillan creeps if not snugged up good. The Sitman hardware does not creep and does not need the lock knobs which look hideous to me on a nice stock. Joel Russo can install them and look fantastic. Great guy that does great stock work.

Warrner Tool uses snap rings, not magnets.

McGee Stocks has the magnets. Anyone used them? Do they not move when cheek pressure is applied latteraly?

Just wanted to know how well they stay put during recoil, etc.

The snap rings from Warrner Tool might be a better choice.
