What grain for P dogs in 243

Never heard of that bullet. Please clarify for us.

Those little 58 V-Maxes are stupid accurate but the 75 V-Max is killer too. 87's not so much for my rifle (factory 1-9).

I’ve tried all those bullets mentioned. 87 gr vmax does the most damage and highest bc. Wind is always blowing

I hunt with a 243 and shoot with DAA frequently. In my Ruger 243 VT I shoot 55 grain ballistic tips, 52 grains of H380 (Nosler lists 53 as max), CCI 200 primers and WW and Fed brass. This load shoots 5/8" groups and clocks at 4200 fps in my 26" barrel. 52 grains of H380 fills the case up nicely.

How deep do you seat the Bt?

I have a VT in 243. The VT never got any respect. They are amazing rifles.

Nosler 70gr BT, super accurate and devastating on P-Dogs.

Ive had very good luck with the 55gr nosler bt on groundhogs and a few coyotes never had the chance to go after pdogs.This is with rem 78 sportsman (cheap 700) sure does splode the ghoggs around here.If I was to go after anything smaller might consider the hornady 58gr vmax.They are not as tough as the nosler and probally work better for pDogs.Keep in mind these lighter projectiles run out of steam if you really stretch them out,but boy they sure are flat for a little ways..

Speer TNT's are highly underrated in all calibers, IMO.
