What do you hate the most?

Dropping brass on the floor and having to bend over and picking it up
Having some Forest Service yahoo come by and talk for a few minutes only to leave saying
"Have a good time, be sure to pick up your brass"
at an open BLM shooting area where 20 years of brass is scattered everywhere???
yeh right, is that some sort of in house joke?

Trimming is definitely my least favorite part of reloading. Overall, I love my reloading time, I’d love it more though if I had a nice big picture window in front of me. My room is in the basement and I really like having natural light. Our previous house it was also in the basement but I had a small window above the bench. (My shooting range was about 100 yard walk from the basement door. I would give a lot to replace that. Now, range on the same property but a 15 minute drive from home…)
How much property do you own? A 15 minute drive to the range makes it sound like a lot. Can you sell some land to fund building a loading area that has windows?

No, it’s family property that we moved away from because of a natural gas well pad that was built too close to us. Weak lease turned it into a nightmare….

The pad is still there, they never fracked it, just drilled a hole to tie up all the property in the unit. My range is now the access road they built so I’m getting something out of it.

I am in the "I hate trimming brass" group.

That is why most of the cartridges I shoot these days are "improved" variants.

Howdy !

At the last competition I participated in, the assigned me a bench located between 2
.300Win Mag shooters; using brakes. Their muzzle blast set my 1.5oz trigger off once, and made me pull the trigger when I didn’t intend to…. twice.

The concussive effects hurt, in my forehead-eyes-upper cheek bones area.

357, That was a brutal day.

Hmm... "Hate" is such a strong word. While there are tasks I dislike, or even hate, they're just troublesome. Usually I can do something about them with a different technique or even paying someone to do them. I draw the line at hating people. It's a waste of my energy to hate someone. It eats away at my psyche. Really, there's nearly nothing that can be done to change them. Hating a person destroys one's well-being, so I just won't let myself go there. Sure, there's plenty about certain people and philosophies that I abhor. I pay attention to issues and act accordingly. You guys have discussed many of them above. Still, I refuse to hate. It bogs me down and gets me nowhere.

Just my 20 m$ . . . . Feel free to disagree! I won't hate you for it. :)

Yes… I agree.

Let’s not be “ hatin’ “.
Love the sinner….not the sin.

I sure cuss a lot when I drop stuff while reloading. You know brass, bullets, tools etc. But I really hate it when I spill a tray of primers. And I really hate dropping a box of loaded ammo and the plastic box shatters and the shells go everywhere.

Especially if it is a box of loaded ammo made for a ladder test and they are all different loads. :)
