What do you consider the optimum reticle dot size for long range target shooting

What do you consider the best center dot size for long range target work?
I'd like to see a .1-.15 Moa dot but nobody offers one.

So what do you prefer?

Danny

I don't think you'd want a dot covering 10 moa-15 moa @ 1000 yds do you :o ???, Maybe a .1 moa or .15 moa would be better.

OOPS! needed to put in a decimal point or two! I changed it to read .1 to .15 MOA.
Sounds a bit better dosen't it. LOL!

The NF NP 2DD reticle has a dot that measures .1875 with the scope set at 22x so at 42X it would be almost half that size. You should be able to do a little playing around with the power setting and get exactly what your looking for. I just got 12-42BR this week with the 2DD reticle and so far I am loving it.

I do like the NP2-DD as well in a Nightforce. In fact it is my favorite reticle.
However looking at Schmidt and Benders new 12.5-50X56 PMll they have a "Sport" reticle which is very similar in look to the NP2-DD that measures .2 or an optional "Sport Fine" which they list as a .09. So will the .2 be to large and the .09 to small for target work???? Without the benefit of actually seeing either I just don't know which way to go and at the price of the S&B I'd rather not make any mistakes if I decide to buy one.
