What do you carry?

Shield 9 the origanal with 2 reloads! It is compact, thin, light weight, easy to operate and as reliable as a Toyota HILUX Truck from the 1980's!

If anything where to happen to it I am out $249. It always goes bang! It feeds hollow points just as well as it does ball! No polymer pistol should cost more than $249.

Oh how I miss the amazing deals pre-covid-19! Back then full retail ont hem was $369 not the $509 you see today.

I carry the last back up gun i carried before I retired.
Glock 33 in .357sig. with 125grn. Winchester law enforcement only loads. If not that, a Kimber Compact with Federal 230grn. Hydro-shoks.

I think I paid $180 for my kahr CW9 used.

I've switched a couple times this year. Had a Glock 36 in my pants pocket. You can do that wearing 5.11's. Then my SIG 320 Legion with a SIG red dot. Lately, I'm experimenting with a P220 Super Match. There's just something very comforting about nine rounds of 45 acp HP's.

220 is a favorite

IS,

great minds must truly think alike. I still have the 36 for summer or 5.11's. The Legion with the SIG red dot. Now, there's a Super Match sitting about four feet away as I type. I am still searching for a red dot. What are you packing?

Added a Wilson Combat SFX9 to the rotation a few weeks ago. Carries 10+1 or 15+1 with an optional 18 rounder available. Carries nicely in my Milt Sparks VM2 IWB rig meant for the 3" 1911. The grip circumference is less than a single stack 1911. No grip safety, and the upper is entirely 1911. So far, shoots lights out.

Target below was first rounds fired, Hornady 124gr XTP SD HP's at 15 yards:

Appears to be a keeper.

Carried several over the years. Full size 1911, S&W469, Taurus 805, Ruger SP101, Colt 1903, Radom P-64, 1911 Light Commander, HK VP9. Now it is a S&W Shield Plus. I like the three different size mags. Have a second longer barrel with compensator. It goes from a tiny 10shot that conceals well to a medium size 15shot that is comfortable for a couple hundred rounds a day.

Kel Tek PR57. 21 rd 5.7x28. super light and able to carry every day with almost every shirt. Fits Sig 365 holster. Very surprised by accuracy, trigger and just ability to carry every day. 1911 left at home is no use.

Usually one of four different pistols based on where I am going and other specifics.

Not in a specific order,
Sig P232, 380 acp (old school)
S&W Shield 2.0 in 45 acp
Sig P320 compact in 45 acp
Taurus 805 Ultra Light in 38 Spec

It is just hard for me to conceal a 1911 which I prefer.
All are reliable and accurate for the task at hand as well as I am proficient with all.
Just my .02

Tim

Carry a gun? I would never do something like that! the government is here to protect me.

Now, if I did it would be a Glock 29 in 10mm with extended mags (can't have too much power)
Correct, and remember, only "da" military and "da" POlice have sufficient training to carry and handle firearms, even if the police are mostly there to clean up and file reports.
