What did you kill this fall, and what did you use?

I like the title of this thread. What did you KILL this fall? Not what did you HARVEST? Tired of political incorrectness .. Hopefully I can add to the thread shortly...

Shot a good 8pt on the 2nd day of Michigan gun season with a 6.5 Creedmoor Faxon 5c Match barrel on an AR-10 platform, 1x8 Burris XTRII on top of a 34 mm PEPR mount. Load was 40 grs of IMR4350 x 127 gr Barnes LRX bullet. Sub 1/2 minute at 300yds and the deer didn't like it at all. Coolest part was that he stepped out about 5 ft in front of a trail cam and in 3 shot burst, I had him standing broadside in front of the camera and the next shot of the burst only had part of his tail as he fell down. I was hoping for an impact shot but I wasn't that lucky.

I killed this elk in the Colorado 3rd rifle season. It's hard to tell from this angle, but he is a true 7x7 with a small extra point on the left front tine.

I put 2 shots in the shoulder 3" apart from 680 yards. He didn't take a step.

Rifle Specs:
300 WSM: 200 ELD-X, Norma Brass, H4831SC
Defiance Deviant Ultralight XM action
Proof Research 1/10 24"
Thunderbeast Ultra 7
Manners EH1
Nightforce ATACR F1 4-16x42mm in Seekins low rings
Atlas bipod

I got a crotch horn in the UP of Michigan Sunday about 1 pm with my newly rebarreled 257AI and 117 gr Hornady btsp. No bait just still hunting and sitting. About a 40 yard shot, so I didn't need my drop chart! Now see what Wisconsin brings. Barlow

I was lucky enough to draw an early rifle bull tag here in AZ. Hunted three days with some good friends of mine and was able to get this guy at 630 yards right at last light on the third day. I was so excited I finally drew my first elk tag I built a rifle specifically for this hunt. FN large ring Mauser re-barreled with a Benchmark #4 in .280 Ackley Improved. I am pushing a 168gr Berger VLD at 2896 fps and it worked like a champ.

I have been skunked on deer so far, but the one good morning I had out I did jump a coyote while still-hunting a ditch. It was curled up in a brushhog cut area; it was not 15 feet in front of me and it buried itself so hard in not 3 inches of growth that I didn't see it until it popped up.

Fortunately, I was wearing a GoPro so it was really cool to review the footage. In slow motion you could see it before it moved, nearly impossible to see.

It popped up and ran straight away. I got the rifle on it, but hesitated, unsure if I wanted to scare any potential deer in the area. But I hate coyotes and took the Texas heart shot. I was carrying my "Indiana Special", a .358 WSM variant with 1.8" brass to meet our now-former rifle restrictions. It's essentially a 35 Whelen AI, launching 225gr Accubonds at 2770fps. The bullet entered the rear of the coyote at around 80 yards and came out the neck, with obvious expansion.

It was really cool to be able to make a short video of the whole thing; I don't know an easy way to post it on here or I would. Now I REALLY regret not having the camera on when I got my elk a few weeks ago.
