What chronographs do you like?

I need one. What chrono do you like and why? I think I want one where the readout is by me on the bench, not on the same unit as the sky screens.

I went with the CED Millenium chronograph earlier this year and am very pleased with it. Setup and teardown are reasonably quick, it is affordable and easy to use. The readout is right there with the shooter, while the measuring screens are downrange.

I had another brand, a good one, and switched to CED. I'm very pleased with the unit. Two features I particularly like are the downloading to my computer in Excel format and the other is the optional Infra Red kit with rechargeable batteries.

I have a Pact. I've had it for about 15 years. It does a good job for me. If I buy another one, I want it to have a printer built in. I hate writing down all the numbers before I turn it off. The screens are better now than when I bought mine.

You would think someone would come up with as quality a product as the Oehler 35P. I also am looking for a good chronograph and all I hear and read about the how great the Oehler 35P is,was).

Not taking anything from the current chronos on the market, but it appears to me there is a niche in the market for an entrepanuer willing to manufacture a high quality chonograph comparable to the 35P.

My only request is someday they can make an accurate wireless unit so there will not be any wires running from the bench to the skyscreens.

Hello Mike,

I am not at liberty to say who is coming out with a new unit that is being tested, but it is supposed to be at the level of the old 35P unit. The only thing that I can say is to keep an eye out after the upcoming Shot Show. There could be several units coming out to fill the void left by the lack of the 35P units.

I have sold several CED chrongraphs and own one myself the features are very nice with the option to use longer sky screen spacings and the infra red difusers makes htem one of the top choices to have at an inexpensive cost.

I usually sold these shipped at what most sell them for w/o shipping.
