What caliber for new gun build?

In the 1980’s I shot a lot of competition benchrest, built rifles, made bullets. I sold my lathe, milling machine, tooling & quit shooting. I didn’t pull a trigger for over 20 years. Since then I’ve probably shot less than 200 rounds. This summer I took out a couple BR & varmint rifles. Did some paper punching & shot at a few critters. Had fun & got to thinking I should build something. (I’ve got another lathe, milling machine etc. )
I’ve got a couple McMillan & JBC match grade 6mm 1/14 twist barrels & some Remington actions. What caliber should I consider chambering them for?
I’ve still got two guns chambered 6 PPC so, looking for something different. Not looking for competition just shoot some paper & a few varmints.

With a 6mm 1/14 twist it kinda limits you to very light bullets. A 6 BR??? I think I would maybe sell or trade one of the barrels and build something that you really want rather than some thing so close to the 6PPCs as to be almost no difference.

Take a look at the 6mm Beggs. A bit different than the 6ppc and you could get a reamer for a 268ish neck that would make one pass turning a breeze.........Welcome Back.
