well oke they fit on a Ruger 77/22 so that #1 very well could be. Thanks For that Info. I will see if i can find a #1 to try them on but I dont have one. I need talley rings for a 98 mauser so I may very well sell these. If I do ill contact you. thanks for that infoI had a set just like those, they were made by Lenard Brownell, famous custom rifle maker from Sheridan, Wyoming. They are excellent.
thanks again Dave- was looking at their webpage and i will call them.Sako's have a tapered dovetail. The rings slide in from the rear and if I remember correctly have a stop,recoil lug to position the ring in the correct location so the clamp tightens up.
Hell call Gary Turner at Talley. He's a good old country boy. We've been friends for a long time.
Just read some of the other posts and I thought maybe a Ruger #1 also.
